Interval Timer

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how information is handled when you use Interval Timer for Android or iOS. For privacy questions, contact intervaltimer@ofaapps.com.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your timer settings, saved presets and their names, sound preferences, language, appearance and privacy choices locally. We do not send your preset names or timer settings to our own server. The app does not require an account.

You can delete saved presets in the app. Other local app data can be removed through your device's app-data controls or by removing the app. Device backup and restore settings may affect whether local data is retained or restored.

Optional usage statistics

If you accept usage statistics, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to help us understand overall usage, including new and active installations and the Android/iOS breakdown.

Google Analytics uses a randomly generated app-instance identifier, app and device information, and automatic events such as app openings, sessions and engagement. Google can derive approximate location from network information. We do not send your name, email address or preset names to Analytics, and we do not add custom events for your timer runs or sound selections.

Usage statistics are disabled until you accept. You can change your choice in Settings → Privacy preferences → Allow usage statistics. Turning the option off stops further Analytics collection; it does not automatically erase data already received by Google.

Advertising

The app displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob. Its advertising services may process IP addresses and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers where available, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These services support ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

The data used depends on your device, permissions, region and advertising choices. Where required, Google's consent form presents advertising choices. Available advertising privacy controls can be accessed through Settings → Privacy preferences. Your device may also provide advertising-identifier or tracking controls.

Advertising preferences are separate from optional usage statistics. Declining Google Analytics does not, by itself, turn off advertising or all advertising-related data processing.

Contacting support

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. We use this information to respond and handle your request. Support is available in English. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Sharing, security and international processing

Google processes information needed for the Analytics and advertising services described above. Our email provider processes support correspondence. Advertising partners involved in delivering ads may also process information as described in the advertising consent information and their privacy notices.

Google's services use encrypted network connections for data transmission. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the applicable Google service terms and transfer safeguards. Local app data is protected by your device's app-storage controls. No storage or transmission method provides absolute security.

For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy, Google Analytics data safeguards and Firebase privacy information.

Retention and deletion

Local settings remain until you change or remove them, subject to device backup settings. Privacy choices are stored so the app can remember your preferences.

User-level and event-level Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics property. Aggregated reports may be retained separately. Google's advertising services apply their own retention and deletion practices, described in Google's privacy information.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve the request and handle related follow-up or applicable legal obligations. You can contact intervaltimer@ofaapps.com to request deletion of support correspondence we hold. Switching off Analytics or removing the app does not automatically delete previously collected server-side data.

Your choices and rights

Optional usage statistics rely on your consent. Where consent is required for advertising-related processing, your choice is collected through the applicable consent or device controls. We use support correspondence to respond to your request and administer support.

Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to your data protection authority. Contact intervaltimer@ofaapps.com with privacy questions or requests. We will review your request and explain the action we can take and any limitations.

The app has no user accounts, and we do not link Analytics identifiers to your name or email address. We therefore cannot find your individual Analytics records from your name or email address alone. Requests concerning records held by Google depend on whether the relevant records can be identified and on the controls available for the service. If we cannot identify the records, we will explain that limitation. If you provide information that helps identify them, we will assess the available options. We do not guarantee deletion of records we cannot identify. Please do not send passwords or identity documents.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
